Destroyed By Voices

Destroyed By Voices was conceived on 2nd Street and Lott in Kingsville, Texas back in 2003. Together Jason Perez, Elio Ramirez, and Jake Camarillo made the journey across Texas state lines until they reached Los Angeles. Settling into the undesirable end of Laurel Canyon Blvd., they holed themselves up in a small apartment and began writing and rehearshing what would become Riots In Paradise.
With no transportation, no familiarity, and no friends but each other, Destroyed By Voices began their residency in L.A. with a hardcore attitude -which ment: anytime, anyplace, for 1 person or 1,000 people, "We'll play anywhere." After finding a rehersal spot at Sound Street Studios in North Hollywood, the guys began putting their anger, resentment, understanding, guilt, friendship, sins, love and hate into their music. Destroyed By Vocies played countless venues in all areas in and around L.A. until making it into the studio to lay down this embodiment of emotion.
The guys found their way into the infamous recording studio the Boat, in Silverlake, CA - home to all the Beck albums, some Rolling Stones, Tenacious D and Ben Harper to name just a few - through fellow friend and engineer Ian Singleton. After laying all the tracks and mixing the record down in Hollywood at Studio Atlantis, Black Apple Records decided to independently release Destroyed By Vocies first full length album.
It has been a feeling of accomplishment and pride to see the first DBV album in print. Riots In Paradise.
