I'm dreaming my life away.

About Me

I started playing guitar when I was 7 or 8. I played for a couple of years and then stopped. I picked it back up when I was 13 and haven't stopped yet. I love to play. I could play guitar every day with (talented and Christian) people and just be in heaven. I get the most enjoyment out of playing with people who can really do what they do well, and we sing praises to our God. That is just awesome. I get so much enjoyment out of that. It's so much more fullfilling than any other kind of music. There's such a peaceful aura that surrounds singing and playing guitar for God.Content from Coshed.com - Myspace Layouts

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Well, as of right now I only have 1 member. I hope to never have any more. At that time you might classify me as schizophrenic.
Influences: God, Clapton, Walsh, Hendrix, S.R.V., Angels & Airwaves, Alter Bridge, The Dangerous Summer, U2, Incubus, Linkin Park, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, The Cardigans, Chet Atkins, Chris Tomlin, Eminem, Goo Goo Dolls, Jonny Lang, Leeland, MuteMath, Pink Floyd, The Police, Rage Against the Machine, Relient K, Switchfoot, Three Dog Night, Van Halen, The Who, 30 Seconds To Mars, 311, John Mayer. I would like to think my life experiences influence my songwriting.
Sounds Like: When I play rhythm I try for a cross between Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix. What I mean by this is I try for those insane rhythmic shifts that Page accomplishes, while using the insane Jazz chords that Hendrix used. Sometimes I get ahead of myself, but at least I try. When I play Christian lead guitar I try for a cross between AvA, U2 and every Christian electric (this is important electric does not mean lead) guitar player I've ever heard. I love this sound. Sometimes I have to change things up and go for power chords on the chorus or possibly a Pink Floyd type picking that happens on "Breathe" (off Dark Side of the Moon). When I play Blues lead guitar I try for a cross between Clapton, Joe Walsh, Van Halen, and Gary Moore. Clapton reminds me to keep it smooth, Walsh reminds me to keep it slow and nasty, Van Halen reminds me to keep it quirky, and Moore reminds me to keep it raucious and dramatic. When I play clean I try to imitate John Mayer. He has such a vocal sounding clean guitar. I envy him. I wish I could really get those scooped sounding 16th notes that you can hear so cleanly it's not even funny. For everything else I try to keep Brad Paisley in mind. If you listen to his 10 second long solo on "Come On Over Tonight" you'll see why. His imagination seems to never stop. He also adds a sense of humor to everything he plays. I love his style.
