About Me

-------------- Ave has been into electronic music for about 13 years, starting off with the early old-skool & hardcore scene, he cained his rave tapes until they seen better days. Being a drummer in school it was hard to “play along” to his new-found style of music and the novelty of percussion pretty much went out the window, so in came the drum machine… Ave’s love of electronic music expanded rapidly and it wasn’t long until he got the chance to grace the turntables and give it a blast. Having loved every single minute of it and having finding a natural sense of rhythm being a percussionist/musician Ave found it extremely addictive and it wasn’t long until he bought his set of 1210s.Being into the clubbing scene solidly for about 8 years, Ave has been on a roller coaster ride of musical bliss, enjoying the lighter, more chilled out captivating sounds of trance played by the likes of Ferry Corsten, all the way to the darker, harder side of music with fast relentless basslines and soul-ripping riffs. It could be Techno, Electro, Hardstyle or Trance, music has always been a part of his life whether its been ripping it up on a dance floor in the summer or being out in the wet grubby barns and dark warehouse parties in the cold winters months, he's always made an impression wherever he's played. After 6 months of actually owning decks, practicing religiously and consistently Ave felt very confident about his technique and skills, a lot of people saying he had a natural talent with raw energy and a dedicated passion for the scene. Wanting to spread his wings as a DJ, Ave entered a local DJ competition at Tranz@ction, L2 where he got picked through hundreds of entries coming a respectable 4th on the night.Tranz@ction held another competition a month later with Energy Dai, Japans No1 headlining the nite in which Ave got selected to play again where he came a respectable runner-up on the night.Ave’s biggest influences on the scene have always been the ones who have introduced him to it since they caned dirty techno in the Technodromes at the earliest days he could possibly ever remember, that is the legendary to the underground dance scene Mark EG and M-Zone. Having appearances at countless after-parties and outdoor events in every corner of the south-west, his energy and enthusiasm are taken right from the first beat to the last breath of the crowd and released in the way only he can dictate. He appeared at the Tranz@ction Boat Party 2004 which he was asked to play alongside the residents which was an experience which felt his progress as a DJ was rapidly moving as everyone attended including myself was amazed by his liquid smoothness, sheer quality mixing and excellent crowd reading. The following year saw him play yet again at the 2005 Tranzaction Boat Party playing alongside Tranzaction label manager, promoter and resident Charlie G, L2 Resident Marc Holden and the funky one from up manchester, Anthony Speed.7th Jan 2005 saw the Localize night held by Tranz@ction in which the CD he handed in had entered him a place on the night which was a showcase for local talent who had something to offer, he drawn the 12pm till 1am slot which he proceeded to push the night into a serious frenzy of brain-banging Hardstyle. Later in May he was selected yet again for Tranzactions Localize night in which he played alongside some of the hottest new talent today including Steve Jones & Chris Cornish, Joey V, James D'Ley and Ben Naughten. Also playing that night were Canada's hottest tech-trance/electro stars The Shy Brothers. November saw TALL TREES, Newquay hold there own Localized nite where Ave was selected through hundreds of entrants and headlined the night with rising star Fergie Lessels alongside long serving Tall-Trees resident Steve Lid.In October Ave played at the CandyStore, Plymouth at the Synthetix nite where he played B2B with fellow hardstyle stompman DJ Sam Smith. DJ Sy, Chris Cornish, Dom J and many others headlined an absolutely blinding nite. 2007 started with a bang with Tranzactions localised nite been held on the first week where Ave, Lee H and Shaun M all selected for the night proceeded in showing off some very tasty electro indeed. Apart from ripping it up on the decks Ave has been busy in the studio, with his hardstyle track "Hi-Skool Jam" being remixed by LEZ-LAB4 mid last year it encouraged a remix from himself "AVE's Lesson on Acid Remix" which is looking for release this year. Ave has just finished an electro remix of Persequor - Nombre, a track from Scotlands hottest new producer. Intially a hard bassline driven track with a vocal sample from the J-Lo of Spain, La Mala Rodriguez, Ave gave it a complete overhall with his own filthy trademark sound with some of his own special touches...Check out www.sa-uk.com for more details on the release.-------------------------
