I grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota, graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 1993. This means I wore parachute pants to school in junior high and sort of learned to breakdance, and I also really wanted (but never got) one of those sequined gloves that Michael Jackson made famous. I get nostalgic over Motley Crue and Skid Row, Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda, and I'm more of a Star Wars fan than a Star Trek one.
I used to play bass guitar and sing a little bit in a cover band back in Aberdeen, which was a lot of fun. Since I've moved to Nashville, I haven't really pursued music much, though the door is always open I guess. I did get to go back to Aberdeen and play in my sister Taryn's band when she opened for Lonestar last year; that was a lot of fun. I've been a computer geek by trade for the past 10 years or so, and have been at my current job (Senior Security Engineer at Hospital Corporation of America) for about 2 years now.
Speaking of jobs, I have a new one; taking care of my new son! Benjamin Dean Kranhold was born 6/19/2008 and weighed 10lbs, 13ozs. For those of you not up on baby stuff, that's a pretty big baby. He's now 6 1/2 weeks old and weighs 15lbs, 11ozs. And he's hung like a 5 year old.
