About Me

Get Your Own Myspace Layouts @ MyspaceLayouts.cc !I grew up in a house full of music, my Dad was a part-time musician playing in a "house band" for a local television show that promoted young talent. My sister was an amazing singer who allowed me to drive her crazy as I learned to sing harmony with her strong melody lines (over and over and over until I got it!, thanks for that Charlene!)It was quite a mixture of music being played from the upstairs den or the rumpus room in the basement. Country, bluegrass, rock and roll (old and new). Growing up with Glen Campbell, Doc Watson, Elvis Presley, Merle Haggard, Eagles, Queen, and Donny Osmond. Geesh, what a great way to grow up!! Talent shows, jam sessions, and variety shows were very common at our house.I love to play James Taylor style finger picking and having a Dad who was a very accomplished flat-picker, I was destined to follow in his footsteps and this shows in my writing. After a very long hiatus from writing and playing I realized that I was really missing something very important in my life and with some gentle, encouraging pushes from friends, I started to write again.I play with Lindberg Express and I am now, finally, in the planning stages of recording my songs.I am so lucky and blessed to have such great friends in the music world that are also such great musicians!! I am really looking forward to the recording process since I know first hand how these musicians can put such magic into my “acoustic/written by the fireplace” songs, WITHOUT LOSING THAT EXACT FEEL!!
