About Me

This space is to generally cover my art / sub-cultural based interests, which are quite broad.
Abstract and Minimalist paintings, sculpture, installation, photography, architecture, digital, fashion, fetish, industrial, goth ...
I'm a self-taught experimenter, personally, I work with a range of materials, concrete, rust, pulped paper, water, wood, canvas, organic elements ('found' bits and pieces which have been weathered by the elements that grab my attention, bones, leaves, dirt, flowers, stems, etc...)
These are usually incorporated into sculpture or wall assemblage pieces (never quite able to call them paintings).
Texture is important to me, both as inspiration and an end result.
Some of these found objects become pretty much stand alone pieces as they have an integrity of their own.
I'm also (when able to find the time) experimenting with various uses of light and lighting as well as water features and functional pieces and photography.
In fact, I like these things so much that I chucked in my job in 2006 to get a life and time to actually get on with unfinished projects and to finally do a degree in art. Which is really cool. Its helped me focus a lot more on what I want to do and give me direction (I think!).
I don't claim to personally know any of the people listed under my friends section. They're people whose work interests me.
