The Bend Poetry Slams are at 20:00 (8pm) on the second Wednesday of every month at their new home: Silver Moon Brewery Located at 24 NW Greenwood Ave. in Bend, OR (just West of the underpass). New place has new rules; mostly: minors - at this juncture - are not allowed inside except to compete. Questions about the competive nature of slams? Here is a FAQ from the PSI web page that should answer all those questions. Questions about your scores from past slams, recordings, anything else? ---please do not hesitate to drop a line and ask...

Band Members: The winners from various slams are listed to the right in the blog section - their MySpace accounts have been linked when available. The slams began in Bend, Oregon by the charity of The Grove and by of work and effort of Jayhoo Ray who hosted the monthly competitions for four years with intermitten co-hosts Sean P. Hill, Andrea and Mary . Host torch has been passed to c.vance until such time he can find another fool/ sucker/ slam master. Now going on their fifth year after a brief hiatus at their new home The Silver Moon Brewery . Thanks to everyone who has supported us over these years and has kept it alive - new - interesting - and a shitton of fun.

Octobers slam promises to be amazing...

As always, $3 at the door gets you a night filled with amazing performance artists--- usual slam rules apply: no props, 3 minute time limit, original work. But the prizes for this slam have been great...
