About Me

Depeche Mode - Black Celebration (Live)
"A BRIEF PERIOD OF REJOYCING"This is a fan page for Depeche Mode fans who love Black Celebration. This album was one of the most major turning points for Depeche Mode, Martin's song writting became drasticly darker, with more emotion as well. Martin Gore Stated, "One of the most drastic changes came with Black Celebration, since then I've pretty much like everything we put out". Alan Wilder did not write much for this album, Christmas Island, which is the B-side of A Question Of Lust, and Black Day, which was on the B-side of the Highland 12" mix of Stripped, Alan Wilder had only written those two songs. In 1985 Depeche Mode made a mistake by not putting Fly On The Windscreen on the A-side of the second 1985 single, It's Called A Heart. It's Called A Heart is considered to one of Depeche Mode's weakest singles, and Alan Wilder also considers it to be his most hated track, and Wilder fought for Fly On The Windscreen to be the A-side. When Depeche Mode realized their mistake, they made a remix of Fly On The Windscreen, and it was placed as the second track on the album, and was played live on the Black Celebration tour, and once again in 1993 on the Devotional tour in a more hip hop style. In my opinion, I think this is by far the best Depeche Mode album that has ever been released.
