Back in 2003, About M.O.S.H. members Jens and Sebastian realized that their band had, for some reason, gone to hell. It didn't exactly die, it just went down the road without a farewell. About M.O.S.H's lead guitar player had somewhat disappeared from the folds and Jens and Sebastian had to make a decision of how to continue with the band. Not really wanting to call it a day, the two carried on rehearsing, moshing and thrashing at "beloved" Sheep Shack Rock / T***en Island Rehearsal place. As it became apparent that About M.O.S.H's lead guitar player was not about to make an appearance at rehearsals, Jens and Sebastian started to think of a new band project without kissing About M.O.S.H good-bye: Officer Dan. Officer Dan's music became a a somewhat fiendish brew of grunge, punk, rock and metal influences. By the end of 2004, after months of jamming and gathering ideas, the band had written a bunch of songs that were to become the core of Officer Dan's first demo endeavour: The Superman in Pornland Tracks.
