Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia, describes Celia Green as ‘a British intellectual and author, notable for her advocacy of comprehensive philosophical skepticism, her critique of 20th-century thought, and her psychological theories.’
She has been at various times Senior Open Scholar at Somerville College, Oxford, holder of a Perrott Warrick Studentship from Trinity College, Cambridge, and Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy, Liverpool University. She was awarded her doctorate by Oxford University for work on causation and the mind-body problem. She is the author of nine books, among them The Human Evasion, The Decline and Fall of Science, Advice to Clever Children, and most recently Letters from Exile, Observations on a Culture in Decline.
This page is maintained by her colleagues at Oxford Forum, a publishing imprint set up in 1999 to publish dissident ideas in the fields of philosophy, psychology and general social commentary.
The tracks uploaded here were the result of a collaboration in 1995 between Celia Green, who did the readings from her own books, and two members of the em:t recording label, David Thompson and Chris Allen, who are responsible for the music. The texts for the tracks can be found in the blog on this page.
The aim of Oxford Forum is to expand into a private college cum university, which would allow research and publications to be generated in several areas, including libertarian politics and economics, the psychology and physiology of perception, and theoretical physics.

One of our main tasks is to keep in print Celia Green’s past books, and to publish her new ones, one of which is nearly ready for printing. This is something that anyone who appreciates her writing might be interested in helping with.
Oxford Forum is also actively looking for additional associates to help with its expansion plans by working with us. If you think you might be interested, please visit:
