It's a lot of dudes out there that think just cause they make some beats they can say "I'ma producer". Naw...there's a lot more to it than just makin' some little club beat wit some synths and an 808. Now I might be makin' some guys mad wit that statement, but I could really careless. I work wit real producers and I am one myself. There's a lot more to tha art of producing and most ya'll dudes are jokes. I'm not hatin'...don't get me wrong. Some people like to listen to a bass line and a three note synth all day and night and if that's what you dig then do ya thang. I mean hell, I've even belittled myself to those kinda beats a couple of times cause that seems to be damn near tha only thing you can do to get noticed in this industry nowadays, but when I make some real shit, use a sound other than synth, put thought into my patterns, and actually compose a piece of real music that an artist can use I get niggas lookin' at me funny like how you supposed to rap on that just cause you can't put a cheap chorus on it and you have to actually think about what you gonna say so your lyrics can compete with tha beat! Niggas need to broaden their horizons. Think outside tha box for once in yo life and do somethin' different. Its ok to be original and not jock Lil' Jon patterns everyday so lets try it people.
I just had to get that shit off my chest cause I feel like even though I haven't been doin' this that long I and other great PRODUCERS out there don't get enough recognition for bein' real musicians. I've been around music almost all my life in one way or another. I even had a little drum set when I was younger. Got into orchestra when I hit middle school and played a little of everything in it till 10th grade (mostly violin). Yes, I was in orchestra, which is why I can read and write music, understand keys, and no how to accompany sounds with other sounds very well. So before niggas start dissin' I thought I'd put out there how that 5 years of my life just makes me that much better of a producer. I've also been playin' tha drums for about 3 years so I'm sick wit a beat pattern. I mess around wit tha piano a little so I can get down on comin' up wit my own melodies to use in beats. I'm pretty hot on tha sample game if I do say so myself. Trust me, if you heard my shit and didn't know it was me, you'd swear it was Kanye West himself. Aight, that's just me bein' overly cocky, but seriously, I'm nice wit it. I represent New Block, tha crew I produce for. It consists of myself, Yung Chri$, DJ Spyda...shit just read tha band members. We just formed our group due to tha fact that we've just been offered some great opportunities recently and we wanted a way to represent us all as a whole to make sure no one gets left out cause we down for each other like that. We've got two great main rappers and two hot ass PRODUCERS. Our DJ can't be matched and when you put us together, we can't do nothin' but make money. On tha real though, people need to keep an eye out for us cause we on tha come up from sun up and we finna make some noise fo sho. "We gettin' paper round here, so what's yo occupation"? New Block Niggaaa!!! Blockaaa!!!
