KLG or KL for short was born in Dallas, Tx. A native to the south KL was moved to Philadelphia, Pa. Where he first developed his musical abilities and his first taste of hip hop. He later moved back to Texas where he began to further his musical interest as well as business savvy. It was in high school where he truly started to hone his craft into more than just a school yard talent. After Graduating from high school he moved to Louisiana to study music and business. It was there he initated many rap battles and was slated as one of the best freestyle artists on campus, it was also here he retained the name, Texas. Never being someone who enjoyed going to school or even thinking he would get the oppurtunity he found himself working extremely hard to clinch his chanes at being taken seriuosly in the music world. In his senior year of college he was forced to evacuate due to huricane Katrina. He relocated Washington D.C. and it's historic Howard University, once again he was back on the East coast. Taking very little time to become ajusted KL began to refine his skills as an engineer and producer. It was also in this time that tragically a car crash claimed one of his closest friends. He has since moved back to Louisiana, finished school and signed with Grimace Music Group. He plans to further put the south on the map and begin working on his clothing line and its signiture wear named after his fallen brethren. Proceeds of which he hopes to start a scholarship funds for college students wanting to major in music engineering, production, and recording.
