ABOUT JUSTIN KITCHEN
Justin Kitchen, 23 years old, was born in Charlotte, NC. He is the son of Brenda Kitchen and John P. Kee. From an early age, Justin knew he was supposed to be involved in music. He received his first drum set at the age of three and played in his first church concert at the age of five.
Starting at the age of 14, and continuing on throughout high school, Justin played in two different bands with his best friend Scott Cash. Justin played drums and sang back ground vocals for each band while Scott sang lead vocals. Besides his love for music, Justin played tight end and outside linebacker for his high school football team and was fortunate enough to receive a football scholarship to Duke University, where he played his first four years on campus.
At Duke, Justin worked hard keeping up with football as well as school work while still continuing to work on drums and singing. During his spare time, Justin began working on music production and other small projects around Duke’s campus. Shortly thereafter, Justin along with his friend Scott Cash from high school, helped form the band people now know as Starting Tuesday. During the evolution of the band, Justin became skilled at creating new beats and songs through various music programs with help from all the members of his band Starting Tuesday - Scott Cash, Daniel Goans, and Ken Pittman.
Justin now finds himself in Nashville, TN, with Starting Tuesday as a drummer and a music producer. He strives to help Starting Tuesday achieve every goal they have laid out for themselves and desires to establish himself as a musical producer in R&B and Hip Hop music.
