THE HIP HOP MOVEMENT WAS STARTED LAST MARCH WHEN COMPANY OWNER DANIEL EVANS TEAMED UP WITH WELL KNOWN FREESTYLE CHAMPION CHASE BOY. THE TWO QUICKLY RECRUITED MORE LOCAL TALENT TO FILL TIME SLOTS AT VARIOUS SHOWS. IN THE MEANTIME, THE EMPIRE STUDIO BECAME A HIP HOP PRODUCTION STUDIO & WE FIRST DID THE "EMPIRE HIP HOP MOVEMENT DEMO" FEATURING TRACKS WITH 2-3 ARTISTS ON EACH TO KEEP UP A VARIATION IN STYLES. WITH THA CREW ASSEMBLED WE QUICKLY GOT MOVED TO FRIDAY NIGHTS BECAUSE THE CROWD WAS STEADILY GROWING. WE’RE REAL SAN MARCOS LOCALS AND HERE TO STAY. WHAT WE DO COMES FROM THE HEART AND CARRIES A DEEP MESSAGE THAT ALWAYS TENDS TO GET THE CROWD GOING. AT THE VERY END OF '07 CHASE BOY AND DANIEL RECORDED AND PRODUCED THE "I BE ME" MIXTAPE WHICH HAS BEEN HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL IN THE 512 AREA CODE.SO FAR IN .08 WE'VE HAD A FEATURE ARTICLE IN THE SAN MARCOS DAILY RECORD AND THE UNIVERSITY STAR. ALSO, WE'VE BRANCHED OUT TO DOING SHOWS AT GORDOS, LUCY'S, AND TRIPLE CROWN BESIES GIL'S HERE IN SAN MARCOS.CURRENTLY WORKING ON TRACKS FROM VARIOUS SIGNED ARTISTS FOR "THE EMPIRE RAPS BACK" COMPILATION DUE OUT IN THE FALL ..
