About Me

I'm a great cook! I love amusement parks and rollercoaster rides. Huge crossword puzzle geek! I'm an avid concert-goer (Queen, Def Leppard, Journey, Chicago, Moody Blues, etc). I love to be outdoors, bike riding, hiking, etc. Have you been to Monterey?? If you haven't, you've got to go! What an incredibly beautiful and peaceful place! Wow! I love France and the UK (England and Scotland in particular).
I'm a pretty down-to-earth person. I appreciate people who are honest and straight forward. I don't have time nor patience for people who are phony, and I can generally spot those types a mile away. They don't seem to like it when I figure them out. Life is too short. We all need to surround ourselves with people who love and cherish us. People who bring you down are not worthy of your love, affection, or time. I will now get down from my soap box.

The Keys to Your Heart
You are attracted to good manners and elegance.
In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.
Your risk of cheating is low. Even if you're tempted, you'd try hard not to do it.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

What Your Taste in Music Says About You
Your musical tastes are intense and rebellious.
You are intelligent... but in a very unconventional way.
You are curious about the world. You love doing something new.
In fact, you enjoy taking risks and doing things most people would shy away from.
You are very physical. It's likely that you're athletic, but not into team sports.
You have the soul of an artist. Beauty and harmony are important to you. What Does Your Taste in Music Say About You?
What Are The Keys To Your Heart?
You Are a Seeker Soul
You are on a quest for knowledge and life challenges. You love to be curious and ask a ton of questions. Since you know so much, you make for an interesting conversationalist. Mentally alert, you can outwit almost anyone (and have fun doing it!).
Very introspective, you can be silently critical of others. And your quiet nature makes it difficult for people to get to know you. You see yourself as a philosopher, and you take everything philosophically. Your main talent is expressing and communicating ideas.
Souls you are most compatible with: Hunter Soul and Visionary Soul
What Kind of Soul Are You?
You Belong in Dublin
Friendly and down to earth, you want to enjoy Europe without snobbery or pretensions. You're the perfect person to go wild on a pub crawl... or enjoy a quiet bike ride through the old part of town.
What European City Do You Belong In?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who like to laugh and have a good time, and can see the cup as half full rather than half empty. People who aren't snobby or think they are better than others. I like to be around people who are REAL, not fake.

My list of who I'd like to meet include Gordon Ramsay, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Toby Keith, Elton John, Kevin Spacey, Ben Roethlisberger, Jake Plummer, John Edwards (no, not the Senator, the Crossing Over guy who can speak to the dead), Jon Stewart, and Queen Latifah.

The Fascination with Pets

I've always been an animal person. My mom's biggest, uhm, complaint with me and my dad was the fact that we were suckers for the adorable, fuzzy, often times pathetic/forlorn looking faces. I believe...

Nail in the Fence

Feeling a little reflective (contemplative maybe) over the past few weeks. Life has been handing me quite a few lemons, and I’ve been trying to make "lemonade," but sometimes it just gets hard....

Finding True Love ... Part 2

Again, I have always been fascinated with the supernatural and things of the psyche. So I was on yet another website (http://www.whispy.com/soul-mate-relationships.htm) and read up on soul mates, its...

Finding True Love ... Part 1

I think we all wish and hope that one day our Prince Charming or our Mr. or Ms. Right will come along and sweep us off our feet. We all want to be happy and content and to be loved. About three years...

Annual Christmas Cards

Way back when, in the early 90s, during my first marriage, my husband and I would set aside time in November to work on labeling and signing a huge stack of Christmas cards to our friends. T...

The Golden Rule

How is it that some people on this planet are natural born givers (who seem to believe in the proverbial Golden Rule), and then there are those whose motto seems to be, "It's all about me," or "What'...

No act of kindness, however small, is wasted

Guard well within yourself that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose with out regret, how to acquire without meanness. George Sand
