About Me

In January, 2002 I retired from my position as an administrative law judge with the Office of State Administrative Hearings. I've been an attorney for over 30 years and I'm a member of the California and Georgia State Bar Associations. In March, 2007, I was honored to be appointed to the position of magistrate judge in my home county.I've been licensed by the Federal Communications Commission as an amateur radio operator ("ham")for about 53 years, having obtained my first license at age 14, and hold an "Extra" class license, the highest in the amateur radio service. My wife, a French national, and I have been married for 41 years. We have no children but never seem to be without at least two dogs at any given moment. Humor and satirical writing are two of the loves of my life, both in the reading and the writing. Another love is music. Although by no means a gifted musician, I play "at" the guitar, mandolin, and Roland Alpha Juno 1 and Yamaha YPG-535 portable grand synthesizer keyboards. I have fun playing even if it might just be "noise" to someone else and, to me, that's what's important.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Persons with similar interests in music, amateur radio; other "Frosties" (people who enjoy Robert Frost's poetry); "Creekers" (fans of Nickel Creek), and anyone with a good sense of humor. IMHO, you have to be able to laugh at yourself, others, and the events happening around you to retain any semblance of sanity.
