Renata Kamara

Renata Kamara released her first single with her Brother Bai Kamara Jr in 1999 for Universal Italy. The track was produced by Angelo Vasillio who was also known for his work with Laura Pausini. She has performed with Belgium greats such as Manou Gallo (check out her cd "Dida"), and also has hosted events at the Brussels Grand Place with "@ 70's", a local retro act. She has been playing festivals such as Franco Follies and the Couleur Café in Belgium. Through Summer 2004 she toured through Portugal supporting Manou Gallo.In Fall 2004, Renata decided to strike out on her own and to release her first solo album. By mixing her African backgrounds with modern touches of R&B, soul and hip-hop...the girl has created a unique blend of music that appeals to anybody with a funky and groovy palette.Meanwhile, Renata Kamara is completing her solo album "One Plus One" and she's also composing some tunes as a member of JAH POLICE, a reggae band. Renata's grooves are mainly pop, rock, reggae and afro beat oriented."AFRO FUSION" is one of Renata's other ambitious projects, which combines African kitchen with food from all over the world. She's making videos in which she explains step by step some secrets of her soul kitchen to the everyday people. She also involves live music into her food program.
