Band Members: DJ Young Native

For over 8 years DJ Young Native has moved thousands of crowds with his progressive style. His trademark technique of scratching and mixing familiar 80s beats, Classic Rock and Old School with the new flavors of Hip Hop and Rock, sets fresh standards in every venue he performs.
The combination of his advanced turntable skills and tasteful record selection has earned Young Native opportunities to perform at multiple venues across the country and internationally. In 2000 Young Native mesmerized fans and created a loyal following when he showcased at Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas, NM (at the age of 16) on the Up in Smoke Tour. The arena sold out jam-packed with over 40,000 hip hop fanatics! From this point on, it was clear that a star DJ was emerging.
For the past 3 years, Young Native has been entertaining and inspiring millions of people as the official DJ for the sought after and award winning mix show Beneath The Surface on KJACK. Young Native also graces international airwaves with 4 weekly spots on Conspiracy UK Radio which broadcasts his innovative sound during peak traffic hours in Nottingham. For over year now, he has been pre-mixing shows for Beneath The Surface’s podcast, which caters to millions of people, further expanding his listening audience and heightening the impact of his unique sound.
Young Native has performed multiple club events with DJ Element (Armory Massive, Freestyle Session) DJ Z-Trip, DJ Radar, DJ P, DJ Platurn(Oakland Faders), DJ Spinobi (Ozomatli’s DJ), DJ Wise(Red Cloud’s DJ) just to name a few.
Young Native continues to entertain large audiences by opening for some of the biggest names in the music business. Some stand-out concerts have included Jurassic 5, Talib Kweli, Living Legends, Zion I, Brother Ali, Immortal Technique, Paul Wall, Chamillonare, Twista, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Redman, Wu-Tang Clan, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, and Ozomatli.
Two years ago DJ Young Native was offered (by RZA himself) to be apart of Wu-Tang’s first ever DJ Crew the Needle Breakerz. And he was also offered a DJ position on the new Wu-Tang label, Wu-Latino. Young Native continues to travel across the US and represents The Needle Breakerz to the fullest. Recently Young Native joined the first ever Southwest Zulu Nation Chapter! Also Young Native has been booked with the southwest’s 1 female MC, Queen Yonasda, on the most highly anticipated Hip-Hop tour of 2008, ‘Hip-Hop Lives’. Featuring Wu-Tang, Busta Rhymes, 8 Ball & MJG, 36 Mafia, Red Man, Keith Murray, Ice Water, Norega, and of course Queen Yonasda. Look out for Young Native in your city coming spring of 2008!!!!
Seven Deadly
Seven was born and raised in East Harlem (aka Spanish Harlem) New York City aka New Jack City. Born in 79 when Hip-Hop was coming on strong, while the government was trying to crush the Black Power movements. Crack was hitting the blocks hard in the 80s all over the country. Harlem was no different. Born to a father who was a form SNCC member, involved in the civil rights movement and a mother who was straight from Puerto Rico, an Puerto rican Independence supporter.Seven got involved with Hip-Hop at an early age. Running with Zulu Nation really exposing him to the elements of hip-hop such as Djing,Graft, MC, Already having established himself as a drummer he got involved more into hip-hop. Taking part in MC battles, B-boys, etc. Been doing the hip-hop thing every since. Nation and Gods and Earth and the Hebrew Israelite exposed me to the science of life. Currently Im doing the radio show gig. Promoting really Hip-Hop not the corny shit you hear all the fucking time.I look young, got that youthful look to me but I was born in 79 I clearly remeber the 80s( little kid with good memory) when shit was real. Real Hip-Hop, Real niggas, Real street shit. Also be on the look out for a slew of mixtapes. We gotta that Slapping Volume 1 out right now. The Wutang tribute volume 1 is out. Volume 2 coming soon. As well as the Beneath the surface Mixtape.
