As the tears do after the loss of a loved one
The snow falls in April
But yet the sky is empty and clouds are not present
Yesterday was t-shirts and shorts
Today is hoodies and Jeans
The feeling of snow hitting his face is cold and deep
Almost as deep as the pain in the heart of a young man Losing his loyal companion
He looks at the farm field covered in a light blanket of Snow
He reminisces on past memories of the warmth in April
A smile forms on his cold face
But the smile is accompanied by reoccurring tears
Even though the cold took over the warmth
The river continues to flow down stream
He closes his eyes and says NO
Like the snow really isn’t there
But he re-opens his eyes and sees snowflakes land upon his sleeve
The snow falling in April
Is Reality
Its hurts but its real
And no matter how cold it becomes in April
