Animals and food are my passions, along with music. I work with all kinds of animals--exotics, domestics, farm animals, lab animals...you name the animal, I've hugged it at some point. :-) The aquarium keeps me happy. When I'm there, I work with African penguins, harbor seals, a two-toed sloth named wookie, etc. Whole Foods Market is my home away from home. I'd like to travel much more than I have already. I love to sing more than anything... Did I mention that I love to dance!!
More friends who live in my area.
I have varying tastes: Le Tigre, Sleater-Kinney, Queen, Prince, Radiohead, the Flaming Lips, Pavement, Tenacious D, Cat Power, Madonna, the Cure, the Smiths, Bjork, funk, Motown, Elliott Smith, Timbaland :-), pretty much all 80's music, Nirvana, Tori Amos, Veruca Salt, Imperial Teen, riot grrl stuff, and the list goes on and on... add that to a dash of hip-hop, a pinch of jazz/blues, and a smidgeon of classical... and you have what I like.
I love anything from your good old-fashioned slapstick comedy to your artsy fartsy films :-) Recently, I have been watching a lot of "Napoleon Dynamite" (who hasn't...), "Anchorman", and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I usually go to the movies once or twice a week, however, this has decreased significantly in the last two months. I need to go more often...starting very soon. My favorite comedians are George Carlin, Margaret Cho, and Eddie Izzard...go figure.
I'm a total nerd... Animal Planet is my main fancy. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is cute, and I like comedy central of course. I find myself watching the food network a lot lately. Once in a blue moon, I become engrossed in old tnt classic films with like elizabeth taylor or audrey hepburn or someone like that. Honestly, I don't have much time for tv right now anyway...
I love literature as much as I love animals and psychology... Kafka, Sartre, Camus, and Shakespeare are among my favorites. I've just finished reading "The Idiot" and "The Taming of the Shrew" (again). Now I'm on to "The Heroides" by Ovid...absolutely incredible so far. In addition, I am trying to fit in "Origin of the Species" by Darwin...I've read a lot of pieces, but I'm trying to understand the entire book.
Kathleen Hanna...enough saidand Kurt Cobain when I was like 14...
