About Me

I am a happily married lady who enjoys where I am in life. My home is centered on 110 acres of land, so I have my own personal park to hike and snowshoe around. All wildlife is safe on our property, if they can avoid "Tuffy" my porch cat. Besides my husband Vernon, the loves of my life is Jeremy, born 1977, and Leah, born 1981. To this day, I am suffering from "empty nest" syndrome because I couldn't have asked for nicer kids. After they moved on with their lives, I filled my life with a variety of animals. (3 dogs, 5 cats, 1 rabbit, chickens, quail, peacocks, and pheasants) For over 20 years, I have been teaching 5th grade and I can honestly say that I enjoy it more and more every year. My philosophy in life is to enjoy the simple things in life, and always be greatful for the wonderful things I have, and have had in my life.

My Interests

Hanging out with my pets. I have a Quarter Horse, a pony, 3 dogs, and 5 cats that keep me extremely busy. Otherwise,...I love photography, planting flowers, hiking in the woods, and writing to epals.

I'd like to meet:

The Parelli's who teach about Natural Horsemanship

Music:

It varies. It takes me about 10 seconds to decide if I like something. Rock music keeps me awake while driving, Celtic makes me feel relaxed while doing things around the house. Rap makes me look for the "off" button immediately.

Movies:

Being a teacher,...I have a wonderful collection of Walt Disney and useful nature films. At home,...the only reason I may touch the VCR or DVD player is to dust them off.

Television:

As long as I have the remote in my hand to avoid commercials, I "might" take time to watch TV. I presently lean toward stories that solve real crimes, comedy shows, RFD, SCI-FI, and the IFC channel. I do have a bad habit of using the TV to help me go to sleep. Of course,...I always wake up when I accidently drop the remote to the floor!!

Books:

I buy my best paperbacks in the 50 cent bin at Hannaford Grocery Store. I also buy and read books that tell you how to improve your health and lose weight. Too bad I can't buy will-power to go along with them.

Heroes:

My mom.. who tells it like it is. My Grandmother and best friend, Isabel 92, who passed away in 2005. There is a hole in my heart that doesn't seem to heal. My Aunt Gloria who passed away 2 months ago..a true Christian. My Mother-in-law Lena, sweet, kind, and humble.
