DJ Alias is a turntable-ist from Auckland, New Zealand. Grew up in Balmoral/Mt Eden and started mixing and scratching at 16 with Queenstown DJ Super Turbo Hag.
He has been a regular club DJ in Auckland's Fu Bar for eight years and has supported various International acts, such as...J Live, A Trak , Atmoshere , DJ Rectangle , Busta Rhymes, De La Soul , D12 , Missy Elliot , BEP...to mention a few.
He was a member of Fast Crew and has toured extensively with them through NZ and Australia. FC disbanded after releasing their sophomore album at the end of 08 to pursue new endeavors.
He appreciates and has drawn influence from funk, jazz, hip-hop, breaks, Dub , Reggae , DnB and generally has a vast appreciation for a wide range of music.
Currently playing club nights throughout NZ and doing shows with Mikey Rockwell which is promising to be a solid DJ , MC combo Live as well as in the studio.
