Kabuto&KojiSince 1997 Dj Tekes (a.k.a. Leonardo Falfan)has been a strong member of the dance music
scene in Costa Rica.Having shared the decks with some of the biggest names in the
international scene and playing in some of the biggest dance music influenced cities such
as Mexico,NewYork,Orlando,
Barcelona,Manchester,Paris etc........In 1999 he lived in New York where he started his career as a producer.In 2001 he moved
to Barcelona where he started his record label ,Split Point recordings,together with
Mauricio De Sostoa.Tekes was able to play in the most respected clubs of the area such as
El Cel,Razmatazz,
Club KGB,NItsa etc....He recorded his first production cd called "E-Soul" in 2002.He was
also invited
by Astro&Glyde to participate at the 4th of July Party at "Le Souk"in New York.Tekes is
the first Costa Rican dj to be invited by Tim Skinner to Proton Radio.Today Tekes resides
back home in Costa Rica where his production career continues and is a resident at Club
Vertigo,Central Americas' finest dance club.In Costa Rica for the first time at the international art festivals he was
invited to play a totally original set some thing that was a big step towards the
acceptance of dance music in our society.In 2005 he began various projects such as
Splitpoint (Tekes&Mauricio De Sostoa),Helio(Elena Lopez&Tekes),
La Penca(Tekes,Mauricio Molano and LucasPercu) and Kabuto&Koji(Tekes&Patrice Meiner).Patrice Meiner Born in Italy but with a German nationality, Patrice has lived in various
countries. From an early age music became a very big part of his life, from playing drums
to bass and having a new age punk rock group.In 1999 he began his career as a
dj..Currently Patrice holds a residency at Vetigo opening up for foreign dj's almost
every month and has a bi-weekly spot in the Vertigo Lounge area spining a more deep set.
Also he has played on various radio stations like 97.9 conexion, 91.1, including his own
weekly show on 97.9.Patrice has warmed up dance floors for dj's such as joeski & onionz,
jaytripwire, peacedivision ,deep dish,james zabiela,danny howells,lee burridge,david
alvarado, superchumbo,astro glyde,dj colette,bill patrick,nick warren,Hipp-e,eddie
richards.His career has also taken him to Guatemala El Salvador and Mexico.
Along side Aaron Wells Patrice started producing music under the alias Audiodrop and has
4 tracks on Istmo and Itzamna records along side a release comin out in November 2006
Emperor Rosko with a remix from Kriece.In 2002 he started to team up with Tekes to
produce music and Kabuto&Koji was born.In 2006 they put out Split Points second
production cd named Kabuto&Koji.Kabuto&Koji A.K.A. Tekes & Patrice MeinerTekes and Patrice Meiner have worked since the begining of 2002 under the alias name
Kabuto&Koji.Since then they have produced over 25 songs in the genre of tech minimal
house following a deep ,percussive and fun style, filled with atmospheric sounds and
vocals.They are part of Istmo rec., Akbal Music and DialTone rec..Two of their tracks,Melarky &Peanut Roll(Akbal) were &&#;14 on the Balance Record Pool on the november 28th list.#41 on 12/12/ for their rmx "Epico" for RobbiE,backed up by Oliver Lieb & Audiofly.

KrisB & Astro&Glyde will be comming up next 2007.They also perform together as dj's ,mixing tech-house with minimal.Both were invited on the World Cup Dj Squad,representingCosta Rica,next to ,U.K.:Digweed&;Sasha;France:Laurent Garnier;Argentina:Hernan Cattaneo etc.....Recently they became members
of The Balance Record Pool which makes them the first in Central and South America.
