About Me

News
These are three new tracks I made mostly through recycling some tracks of my record collection. They all have a nice radio edit length! I hope you like them.
The last track in the playlist is a preview of more songs to come. I tried to make more electronic tracks and these are some ideas. So leave comments if you have any!
Some general info about me
I am a 23 year old guy based in the German Ruhr area. I started making music with around 16 using some dodgy software. These days it was more a game than anything else. After a while I got pretty bored with messing around with the factory loops and samples of my Magix DanceMaker, so I started using a freeware drummachine and sound I either got from audio magazine Cds or sampled from songs. That was how I made my beats for more than one year: on eight stereo tracks in a crappy toy audio sequencing software. But then Reason was launched and a friend and me started using it. It was the first time of actually playing generated and not sampled sounds. But I quickly felt the need of getting sampled stuff in my tracks. The memories of the old days came back! ;-) So I got ReCycle and started chopping samples and using them sometimes although I still made „sample-free“ tracks. In the end I started getting fed up with this software and computer business. These songs you can listen to above are a stepping stone to a new era, so to say. They are still made in Reason, but deliver a good picture of how I wanna sound like in the future. I recently bought a Korg Electribe ESX 1 and started working with this. I will soon post tracks I made with it! This machine is a good start. But I want to continue building a non-computer based setup and am currently saving money for an Akai MPC 2500. I wanna do ruff, sampled beats which are not supposed to reach a level of audio engineering perfection. Moreover, they shall reflect certain moods I’m in when making them. Well, that’s why there’s no place for a computer in this setup. I need hands-on machines which allow to produce fast results. That’s why my sound is and will be quite „live“ and not really perfectly arranged and produced.
I make music for fun. It would be nice to find a label that wants to release my stuff, but success is not important. I love messing around with music and when you are a vocalist or MC and would like to have a beat feel free to contact me. I also love doing remixes. So, also contact me for this purpose! And, of course, enjoy my tune!
