Neolith was created in 1991. The first rehearsal took place in BDK in Lesko. First members of the band were: Butcher Bear-voc., Lyssy-guit.,Junior-guit.,Spider A.J-bass and Corpse-dr. At the beginning of 1992 we had our first set live which had been recorded at "rehearsal Tape’92". That show brought us some good reviews in many magazines. In the summer Neolith took the second place on the"Garaz’92"festival in Sanok. Year 1993 was very hard for Neolith because Corpse was conscripted to the army service and Butcher Bear left the band. They were replaced by Yashin and Levi. In that line- up Neolith worked in BDK studio in Lesko for its first demo- "Death comes slow". Yet the quality of this record was low and we decided to rerecord it. During that session the band was supported by Monica E. To our surprise record was received very well not only in Poland but also in many foreign countries. Beginning of 1994 brought us another changes in the band. Junior was expelled from the band and he was replaced by Peter. In Manek Studio we recorded our demo "Journeys Inside the maze of time" with a little help from our friends. Condrad who supported us whit these songs "My time has come" and "Reborn" has been a member of our band since then. Thanks to that material we got good reviews and gave some interviews in magazines such as Brum. Once again line-up has changed. Peter and Lyssy left the band and Condrad took over all responsibility connected with compose music. In a result in 1996 we record promotion demo which contained four trucks. On that demo first time we cooperated with U’Reck from Lux Occulta. Again we got good reviews and in the result we signed contract with Ceremony Record."Trips through time and loneliness was the best selling album in Ceremony record history. With the new guitarist Neolith created material for another album. Meanwhile in April we celebrated our 5 th anniversary of Neolith in Lesko. We appeared with bands like Lux Occulta, Corruption, Sacrum, Cryptic Tales, Night Gallery. At summer of ’97 in Manek Studio we recorded our album "Igne Natura Renovabitur Integra".
The producer of the album is Arek "Malta" Malczewski for whom this is the first serious session which helped him in his further work with bands like Behemoth, Devilyn, Azarath, Lost Soul and many more. The album is mastered by Grzegorz Piwkowski at High End Studio.
Before the release of the album Neolith played a few wonderfully received gigs ( with Lux Occulta and Atrophia Red Sun for 700 maniacs and in Gorlice with Sacrum, Devilyn, Epitome and Cryptic Tales) here and for the first time in Svidnik in Slovakia. On 22 July Dogma Rec released the album as CD and MC . According to many magazines ( for example: Thrash’em all, Rock Hard or Slovak Metal Hammer) it was one of the best albums of the year.
The music was described as Death/Doom with its unique atmosphere. "INRI" was so well received also because of U’Reck and Malwina Zych’s contribution and thus chosen as one of the 20 most important Polish albums by the readers of Horna mag!!! The next two years the band spent on playing gigs in Poland and Slovakia, including the prestigious Festering Blood Fest. (Brekov).
We played with Elysium, Krabathor, Behemoth, Christ Agony, Lux Occulta, Corruption, Yattering, Devilyn, Epitome, Phantasma, Trauma, Sceptic, Contempt, Sanatorium, Sacriversum and many many more. While touring the group started writing new material and yet again it turned out not everyone was involved equally which resulted in Spider A.J’s leaving the band. He was replaced by Gryzzlii (ex Messenger); next Paul left the band. Some time after Jimmi replaced Grizzlii, who left the country, Daniel and Jashin also quit Neolith and the band’s activity stops for six months. In the end of 2001 Jimmi (guitar), Pawel(bass) and Kriss (Lux Occulta drummer) together with U. (Lux Occulta keyboard player) joined Neolith. In 2001 the band recorded promo material "THORN IN THE SIDE OF MY ENEMIES" with three new songs. It was received well by magazines and maniacs. The next year the band created "Broken Immortality" (Manek studio- 2002). The material sounds fresh and brutal! Neolith played greatly received gigs (among them one with KAT in Rzeszów’s Akademia in front of 1000 maniacs!). In spite of wonderful reviews finding a publisher was hard. In the meantime the video for "In the garden of forgetfulness" appeared on DVD "In Goth We Trust" (Metal Mind Prod.) In spring 2004 The Flaming Arts released the album finally entitled "Immortal".
Neolith had a great opportunity to play in "Metalmania" one of the biggest metal festivals in Europe among bands as Morbid Angel, Krisiun, TSA or Moonspell.
After Pawel left the band Luke (Overlord, Comdemnation, Sacrum, Midgard) joined the band. In May "Immortal" was released worldwide and the band appeared in metal press and played gigs in Poland and abroad- Metal Head’s Mission (Ukraine), Latvia, Finland (Jalometalli Fest).
When Kriss left for Ireland Fil( Lunathic Dreams, Element) took his place. Neolith toured with Behemoth in former USSR (11 concerts) gathering over 5.5 thousand crazy maniacs!!!
In August 2005 Neolith played a gig at Merciless East Fest in Chelm being wonderfully received.
After months of intense rehearsals the new material "INDIVIDUAL INFERNAL IDIMMU" was written. In the meantime" promo 2005" , to show the new sound of the band, is released. In the beginning of 2006 Neolith played 2 gigs in Belarus with Hate and Frontside, being supported by Novy (Vader) which is to be continued in Czech Republic and Slovak tour August.
