Louisiana Environmental Action Network (LEAN) was established in 1986 as a result of the need for grassroots environmental networking. We have continued to work towards the protection of our environment and quality of life. Additionally, LEAN works to leverage the power of individuals and organizations by bringing them together to address our state's environmental problems.
LEAN's Mission:
The purpose of the Louisiana Environmental Action Network (LEAN) is to foster cooperation and communication between individual citizens and corporate and government organizations in an effort to assess and mend the environmental problems in Louisiana. LEAN's goal is the creation and maintenance of a cleaner and healthier environment for all of the inhabitants of this state.
LEAN's Structure:
LEAN is a statewide umbrella group with many member groups that it has helped to organize. LEAN provides these member groups, as well as individual citizens, with the support and resources required to accomplish their environmental goals.
