Hi y'all. For those of you that don't know me, my name is Daze. I was part of the R'n'B Band 9 Yards, and to any old friends and followers, we are all doing fine. With the support and encouragement of my good friends Flake and Step it drew me to the conclusion that it was time to create my own sound. Before we go any further this does not spell the end of 9 Yards, as things this good never end. It's taken a while, but I am finally going to give it a go and do my own thing. Still keeping an R'n'B flava, but you'll notice I have matured a bit, and I hope my music has too.
At the time of writing this, which I will update as often as I can, the new single is nearing completion. Initially I will be selling thru my own web-site; daze100.com but don't log on yet, there's nothing available and it's still being put together. I will also be re-releasing the 9 Yards album, "Where do we go from here" with some extra material, I think 2 bonus tracks. In the new year, my first Solo album is gonna be out too, which I am writing, producing & mixing all myself. It will have ALL new material, and I am really excited about launching it.

I also have my own management company now who are busy meeting record labels on my behalf, so all in all, you could say it's a great time. Until my web-site is finished, I will keep you posted as to what is happening with the album launch, single release and any other relevant info here and as always, love to hear from you, as either friends of 9 Yards or new friends who like my solo-sound. Hopefully soon we will be able to provide you with some news of a record label deal too, but we are deliberately taking our time and making sure it's the right deal for me as a solo artist.
This is probably a good time to say a BIG "THANK-YOU" to all the people who previously bought the 9 Yards Album and paid money to see us play live. It's hard to express what it means to perform for people who genuinely love your sound. To see people in front of you, singing your lyrics with you is one of the highlights of my life, and nobody will ever be able to take that away from me. Thanks, XX. I will still be producing for other Artists tho, that wont change, in fact the only thing that looks set to change is that I will get to sing for you again soon. Who I'd like to meet:
This is a hard question for me, there were so many great people we met. I would love to hear from some of the guys we met touring in the past. We met literally hundreds of great people at the Sweden Water Festival, so would love to hear from any of you guys. We were fortunate enough to tour with some fantasitc artists including, Tina Turner, P Diddy, Destinys Child, Beverly Knight, Maze Featuring Franky Beverly, Tyrese, Kelly Price, Lynden David Hall, Jon B, and events such as Trevor Nelsons Lick and as you can imagine we played with and met truly amazing people throughout Europe. In fact, I'll make this easy, anyone who has ever met me, either touring, producing, video shoots, thru my radio show, there, surely I haven't missed anybody out now. If we have met, drop me a line, and if we haven't met yet, then still get in touch.
General:
I am so switched on to my music right now that I am living and breathing the new material. I occasionally play poker, and it's a nice way of switching off, but my music has once again taken over my life, which is fantastic.
Music:
The new album is a bit more eclectic, but I have still kept my R'n'B roots. You will find a blues influence, maybe a smattering of gospel too, but the new single is sure to be massive. My Management Company said that, not me, but when it's released, would love to know what you think.
