The Felons (CO) (2000-2002)

"Your bass player's got some killer chops..."

About Me

The Felons came together in the late summer of 2000. Zach Crowell (The Distance, Lenore, Kemper ) and Brandon Addis had formed a new pop punk band under the name "The Felons" taken from the movie "Baseketball." After meeting with Josh Kennedy( Hope Let Go , September Skyline ) and Cory Singleton ( Hope Let Go ) at a Fenix Tx/Sum 41 concert; the foursome decided to play music together. The only problem was that Josh and Cory both played guitar and Zach had already taken one spot. So, Josh decided to give up guitar for the new band and found his new home on the bass. They formed an instant bond and started writing immediately. Their first song "High School Girl" became an instant hit with fans when they began playing shows. Shows came in fast and hard. The band's first show was at Cafe Euphrates in downtown Denver with metal band Nitriz. Many people showed up for the first show and became instant fans. There were even groupies! The Felons were known for their live energy, potty humor, and covers of many songs. They recorded their first CD in August of 2001 and played shows with bands like Dislocated Thumb (now Saving Verona ), 36 Flip (now Fear Before The March Of Flames ) and Spoken (Tooth and Nail Records). Due to personal issues in the fall of 2001, Brandon was asked to leave the band. The Felons went on to play a few shows with Clint Fiske before calling it quits completely. The boys went their separte ways, but the music lives on. Los Felones for life!
