GLOSSY CUT COLLAGE - DIGITAL CROSS MEDIA
Glossy Cut Collage has been created by A. S. in the beginning of new millineum and in the course of the artist postcard manifestation. Glossy Cut resembles the collaging of a motive mixture from mirror finish magazines – a visual sampling of figurative and abstract elements. Main features are the alienation of samples by creating a new visual connection in substance, as well as the disguisement of original motives. Primarily, these motives originate from the fashion industry and display an artistic reaction to the vogue world and culture of our current time.
In connection with pop culture it is essential to examine and take a more profound view at the themes of consumption and supra-aesthetics of modern times, as well as to encounter a contemporary response – analogically and digitally.

All used design elements/collage materials from journals/magazines have only been used for experimental creations and free uncommercial art work.
The application of external visual collage elements is not related to their origin. There is no link between the original meaning and context.
Thus a relation between the current meaning to the original material does not exist. Â
External design elements/collage materials are only used to aestheticize.
