About Me

Hi there, I'm Kevin, the lead vocalist with the UK tribute to the Beach Boys, namely "The Beached Boys". (www.beachedboys.com ) I am, and have always been a massive fan of the great harmonies brought to us by the genius known as Brian Wilson. Obviously I like other stuff but the BB's kick ass. I have 2 wonderful sons. Bailey who's 9, and Dean who is 22. .......

My Interests

Music, Theatre, Sport (mainly football), Beach holidays, and generally having a good time, usually without the influence of alcohol......... .............

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Almost everything from Abba to Zeppelin, though not modern Jazz, and certainly not Opera. (take a look at my "friends and you'll get an idea!) I like music that shakes hands with your ears! More specifically, The Beach Boys (obviously), Queen, Status Quo, Electric Light Orchestra, Del Amitri, Runrig, most 60's bands and artists, Bay City Rollers and the whole 70's boy-band/Glam rock thing, as well as the Wombles,(I kid you not! Mike Batt came up with some of the most imaginative songs ever, & he's still enjoying chart success with the lovely Katie Melua), Mc Fly and Busted, Oasis, Black eyed peas etc etc. My God, there is sooo much good music out there, and I've only scratched the surface! Oh yeah! I also LOVE country music, and rock/pop music with a Gaelic feel, Reggae, blah, blah. And HOW could I forget the Tornados? The Very first group I got "into". How Joe Meek (a man light years ahead of his time) would have loved the technology of today's Music.

Movies:

That thing you do, How to marry a Billionaire. Back to the Future trilogy, Big Wednesday, American Graffitti, The Getaway (70's version), all the Tremors films, basically I like films that make me laugh and films that take me away from here for a while, and I don't mind the occasional weepie 'cos I'm such an old softie!..........

Television:

Two and a half Men, Mythbusters (discovery version, not BBC2, which has been seriously watered down), Wildlife SOS, TOTP 2, 8 simple rules, Everybody loves Raymond, Rodney, The Fast Show.

Books:

South Sea adventure by Willard Price. I read this as a child and have never forgotten it. I always thought someone would make a film of it but I'm still waiting. I also Like to read biographies. The last one I read was Michael J.Fox & the next will probably be Fred Dibnah!

Heroes:

Brian Wilson, Ole Gunnar Solskjear, Steve McQueen, and being a Southampton fan, my all time footballing hero is Mick Channon, now a successful horse trainer.
