VULGAR was formed on the 6th of the 6th of the 6th. With one ambition - to make some fucking neck snapping, fret thrashing goodness. It was sparked by the love of Beers, BBQ's, Satan & Rock 'N' Roll. It was started by four maniacs, who constanly cranked Heavy Heavy Metal around school which ignited the ingredients to form VULGAR. First up the band was to learn covers to jam on, progressing to writing all their own material. Later though hard practicing, VULGAR was ready to gig. Let the story be told......
2007 was a good year for us, doing shows at the Rock Challenge (Finalists).
Supporting the Sydney Sinners SHACKLES on their Tasmanian show and from that, being offered a support spot for 'LORD' (Arguably Australia's finest Metal band at the moment).
Since then we've been hell busy, doing gigs in Hobart and Launceston with the likes of TABERAH, MEPHISTOPHELES, ZERO DEGREES FREEDOM, SOLAR THORN, SPACE RAVEN & NOSCE TEIPSUM to mention just a few. The highlight for 2008, was supporting Aussie Thrash Legends MORTAL SIN.
Our new material has been fine tuned from our live shows and we are now ready to go into the studio. While you're waiting for the completion and release of our first EP, you can always buy our Demo.....its just a little sample of what will be coming. The Demo is available now (refer to our Merch Blog) or at any of our live shows.
