About Me

SOME OF MY STORY: DC born & raised. Graduated from Howard U's Business School in '03 with honors. During that time I signed with Grammy winning producer (Jay Z "It's Alright") Mahogany as a musician/producer where we worked on music for artists: Dr. Dre, Knocturnal, Nas, & M.O.P; most notably Dr. Dre's "Bad Intentions" for the Wash Soundtrack, which later became Jay Z's "Super Ugly" beat firing at Nas. During this same period I sat in on sessions with producers such as Demien Desandes (Carl Thomas), Ge-ology (Blackstar, Mos Def), Doc (Res, Esthero). This began my musical journey as a career. Fast forward in 2004 I met Nona Hendryx (Labelle) & Vicki Wickham (Dusty Springfield) and accepted the offer to help her build an innovative indie alternative record company. During this process I worked in many capacities with artists ranging from an 11 yr old inspirational singer to a British rock band reminiscent of The Police. Later I was A & R and Project Manager of the soundtrack for Showtime's Emmy & Golden Globe nominated Sleeper Cell, which featured artists Tricky, Sufjan Stevens, Citizen Cope, and Faithless. I composed music featured in Sleeper Cell Season II inspired by some creative guidance from Oscar nominated composer/scorer Paul Haslinger (Any Given Sunday, Underworld). I've also worked with many interesting artists in different capacities including Nona Hendryx and Prince Paul for a new Bernie Worrell (Funkadelic) record, Malene Younglao, JF Robitaille, Sonny Cheeba of Camp Lo, Alice Smith, Ronny Drayton and countless others. I've done some composing for the official documentary of the Divinci Code called "Secrets Of The Code"...In 2003 Waterlog's "Brained Off Drugs" was completed with vocalist Reeko Graves (Backyard Band). If you're into that bugged out shit, u will love it- a real experimental DIRTY album available on www.amiestreet.com "Blowing Trees To Dead Music" is a secret! Definitely blessed to be allowed to work on music full time. I'm in the process of scoring feature lengths & developing conceptual music projects. Things too derivative bore me . . .body { background-color:FFFFFF; background-image:url('http://www.profilestyling.com/images/l ayouts/0003.jpg'); background-attachment: fixed; backgroun
