Dusty

Kristin "Dusty" Crowe has been singing professionally for many years. She started out in talent shows in grade school, Madrigal and Swing Choir groups in high school, has had gospel and pop solos along the way. She has been a member of the Coyote Moon Band since the 90s. She has worked with many musicians within the band and done guest spots with many groups over the years. Did some demo work for songwriters in her late teens early twenties.
She grew up surrounded by music - it runs through her blood, she comes from a long line of musicians on her Dad's side of the family. She has been influenced by great rock legends such as The Eagles, The Doobie Bros, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Led Zeppelin and Pat Benatar. Loves the soulfulness of a great jazz or r&b song, Luther Vandross showed the world how it should be done. She was introduced to country by her grandmother and fell in love with the stories the music told, and the emotion in every song. Growing up she dreamed of being the next Pat Benatar or Barbara Mandrell.
Dusty's style is blues based, anything that makes you feel, in your face type of material. She enjoys singing a variety of music: blues, country, rock, r&b, jazz, pop. Loves a great passionate ballad. Great way to express emotion and to show your true self.
She decided to take on rhythm guitar a couple of years ago...would love to learn how to play slide and play some blues like one of her idols Ms Bonnie Raitt. It's never too late!
Dusty loves performing duets and what those two perfectly matched voices brings to the audience and the emotion a great vocal partnership can convey. Always looking for the next duet partner! Music is the best form of expression out there....
She has always wanted to try her hand at being a blues/jazz/soul singer in a nightclub - so SEXY! She has done a little jingle singing for her friend Walter Mulso, and recorded a song for a scifi internet site called One of those Faces for strangerthingstv.com. Her goal is to start playing out as much as humanly possible and starting up a second group at some point if she meets the right people to work with...high energy multi genre based and FUN. Or a perfect match to my voice to play restaurants coffeehouses etc as an acoustic duo.
Dusty believes in living life to its fullest and is a hopeless romantic and believes that it's the little things that count. She is very loyal and devoted to her friends and family and would do anything for anyone. She believes in taking chances and that everything should be done all the way, not half a**ed, and passion should be the driving force. With a little faith, all things are possible.
