Vinny is no stranger to magic. In fact he invented it. Vanishing Vinny started off as so many of us do...with birth.Soon after came the walking, then the talking, and then came the magic-ing (technical term.) The walking and talking we can attribute to his mom but the magic, well that’s his dad's fault. Picture it: Vinny age 6, his dad took an old scarf out of a shoebox and POOF that scarf is gone. So was Vinny. Not really gone, see Vanishing is the word applied to his props, not himself, and of course the fact that it starts with a V is pretty cool...but we digress, the point is; he was lost to magic. Flash forward seven years and many performances later, to the creation of Vanishing Vinny Entertainment, the magic company started by Vinny, a then mature young man of 13 years.
Now a certified "big kid" Vinny studies Theatre, Business, and more than occasionally girls, at Manhattanville College. His fantastical magic adventures have allowed him to go across the country to study and perform with headlining magicians. Vinny mixes breathtaking sleight of hand, comedy, poetry and shear wit and intuition that creates a truly unique form of his craft. His most marvelous escapade to date was this past year (2006) when Vinny won third place in the Teen Stage Competition at the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas, as well as the Lance Burton Award of Excellence in Magic.
