Starting at the young age of 10,I began my career drawing comics. Many hours were spent drawing the Spiderman and Daredevil characters created by Jack Kirby. For 2 years i focused on the art of Jack Kirby and then one day, at the age of 12,i discovered Playboy magazine. One glance at a Vargas painting was all it took. Drawing comic characters just didn't seem interesting anymore.
Still only 12, I decided to take this great new book home with me. Hiding it from my parents, i ran up to my room and immediately started drawing the Playmates. Over and over i tried to emulate the sexy look of the Playboy models. I would say that Vargas helped pave the way for my great journey and, beautiful women were his inspiration. Like many artists throughout history,my drive was to capture beauty in my own unique way.
My style is considered new-school digital pinup art. Taking digital to a new level, i take the modern age lifestyles of today's youth and place them into modern day pinups. With my pencil in hand and computer by my side, i create a new-age style of pinup that can be only described as sexy, fresh, and stylish.
I would say that all of my girls are my favorite probably because i just keep getting better.lol.Each new image has higher quality and detail than the last, developing new styles that amaze even myself.
I would like to pay respect to the greats who have helped me on my way. i draw inspiration from such artists as Sorayama, Patrick Nagle, and Milo Manara. In my future i hope to be considered as one of the great modern pinup artists of our time.i hope to stand alongside other top artists such as Armando Huerta, Carlos Cartagena, and Olivia.I hope to break new ground for digital art in the pinup world.
