About Me

It all started one dark and stormy December night in a small hospital in Santa Barbara County, California. After moving twenty one times, crisscrossing the U.S., living in eleven states, Europe, and the Middle East, I landed in Florida. After all that moving around, I feel right at home wherever I go! I'm the son of an Air Force non-commissioned officer and a beautiful southern belle. I've been an animal trainer, a pizza "technician", academician, a soldier, a civil servant, and a Naval officer. It's been a wild and tumultuous ride so far, but you'll never catch me complaining -- I've enjoyed almost every minute of it! I've lived in Tampa since 2000, love this place, and will probably never move again. I have a great job, work with a phenomenal group of people, and for the past fifteen years, I've been getting paid fairly well to do what I enjoy the most -- public speaking, meeting interesting people, writing, traveling to exciting places, and solving unique and challenging problems. Who wouldn't love that!?!?!
