About Me

Some ten years ago now, we were a bunch of guys who started fooling around with an accoustic sound and some good ol bluegrass/country songs. We got the dog house bass from a flea market actually (everybody putting money into the deal to be able to buy it, think we still own a share each) Dont really rememeber what our plans were back then, but we couldn´t stop once we got started...
Early rockabilly with its variety of sometimes hysterical lyrics, sometimes smooth and romantic touch and its primitive sound, backed up by guitar pickin and a steady slap somewhat seemed to integrate our souls. All of a sudden we were totally lost in that musical dimension where vintage tube amplifiers, old chrome microphones, tape echoes and more got a quite important role in remaking classics and selfpenned material.
We have released two albums with a wide diversity of songs and styles... As always it might be hard to keep in the middle of the road, so we have been into several retromusical projects during this period. Sometimes we have hired extra back up musicians to enlarge the sound and ensemble to fit more R&B styled arrangements, we did some western swing and even tried jazz, BUT here we are again... way back where we started!
Let´s go folks!

My Interests

Andy Panhard - Lead guitar, backup vocals
Zeb Undertaker - Bass
Influences: Everything that´s rocking
Sounds Like: The Jed Clayton Combo philosophy is to catch the true blue essence of early rockabilly/ country, but to grasp for that sence of livemusic with a "nothing to loose attitude" added. There´s nothing missing in this trio, even though some might say that percussion is neccessary for that rocking sound... We are fully convinced that real rootsrockabilly deserves to be treated more carefully than that. So here we are; a classic rockabilly set up with that "mulekick" in -ROCKA and "moonshinedrunk" in HILLBILLY.
Record Label: El Toro Records
Type of Label: Indie
