Whomever I am meant to meet.
Love it all (even a little country - a little). I obsess, so currently, and there are way too many to list (in no particular order): Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, David Byrne, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, The Beatles, The Cure, Ryan Adams, Frank Zappa, Dweezil Zappa, Dylan, (Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers/The Gutter Twins - Basically, I somewhat worship Greg Dulli and everything he has ever done/will do), Mark Lanegan, Badly Drawn Boy, Prince still rules, De La Soul, Mos Def, Sibelius, Mahler, Miles, Trane, Monk, Nina Simone, Ani DiFranco, Bjork, Rachael Yamagata, Imogen Heap, kd lang, Joni Mitchell, Bob Marley, The Dead, Phish, W.Panic, DMB, The Samples, BNL, Ali Farka Touré, Toumani Diabeté, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Bobby McFerrin (see album Circlesongs)Robert Johnson, Sylvester Weaver, Daniel Johnston and the list goes on...I still love Donny Osmond...and many more I've certainly yet to discover.
Love documentaries and have many favorite films, but lately, my (undiagnosed) A.D.D. has kept me from watching any films at all. I do have some favorites from the time when I used to be able to sit through one, but I'll list them some other time because...what is the reason? Oh yeah - the A.D.D.
Managed to filter it out of my life quite a bit lately - too much music and too many books, but I do have a few guilty pleasures such as Six Feet Under, some sappy stuff (so sappy I can't admit to it), Scrubs, The Office (British version rules, also love the American version), Extras, HEX, The Dick Van Dyke Show/Mary Tyler Moore, BBC/America, PBS, History, Sci-Fi, Discovery & Travel Channels, and even a select few college and pro football teams. And, speaking of Donny Osmond, I would definitely watch if Donny & Marie were to do another variety show...
Currently reading: Eat,Pray,Love. Cannot begin to list all of my favorite books. Classical Literature, Shakespeare, Philosophy, Psychology/New Age/Spiritual, Anything by Carl Jung, Anything by Thich Nhat Hanh (Living Buddha, Living Christ), Ask and It Is Given, The Giving Tree and any of Shel's other books...I'm ready to write one of my own.
I don't know about heroes - Jesus and Buddha are inspiring, but I do admire and adore a lot of people. My family, my friends, my loves. People I have yet to meet... Not in a mood to be specific about it. Do honor your self.
