Auntie Mame w/Rosalind Russell is my fave of all time (most ppl won't understand this but it's ok), Half Baked, Waterboy(if only just for the "needle dick" part), Napolean Dynamite, oldskool Disney movies, Awakenings, Waking Life, The Joy Luck Club, Aliens, Star Wars, Fear and Loathing, The Black Stallion, Interview With A Vampire, The Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Last Unicorn, Old movies like "Some Like it Hot," foreign films with subtitles, like "Life is Beautiful," interesting documentaries about politics, nature, or society. I luv anime, but not stupid kids show anime. I like the GOOD art! I like comedy a LOT, especially good, witty stand up comedy (like Ellen DeGeneres, Eddie Murphy, Margaret Cho, Eddie Griffin, Dave Chappelle,George Carlin, Bill Cosby, and Jim Breuer), but I like drama, sci fi, some horror, and cartoons too. This topic is too broad!
Dont watch much tv
THE LITTLE PRINCE (Le Petit Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupery! This "children's book" has more wisdom in it than a whole shelf of self-help books!
Auntie Mame (it's a book too), She's Come Undone (an insanely real potrayal of a woman written by a man--rock), King of The Wind by Marguerite Henry, The Black Stallion series (comeon, classic), Harry Potter books(I know), Pride and Predjudice, Jane Eyre, Ridley Pearson novels (Never Look Back in particular),many Stephen King books(I know), Heart of Darkness, Sphere, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, The Color Purple, Jean Paul Sartre, Adrienne Rich poetry, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, Gilbert and Gubar, Simone Debeauvoir, Song of Myself by Walt Whitman, Walden by Henry David Thoreau, anything by Anne Rice (I know, I know). ANYTHING by HUNTER S. THOMPSON or Chuck Klosterman. I like most genres of books and won't turn anything down as long as it has some intrigue, humor, thought prevokation, perversion, or wierdness in it.
My Parents, anyone who is willing to break out of the norm and be creative in spite of being controversial.
