About Me

Colin performs jazz music primarily on the violin and other instruments like the mandolin and keyboard. He has a background in classical violin as well as celtic fiddle. Colin Greenlaw also covers gypsy swing, blues, latin, lounge, folk, rock, and flamenco influences in his original compositions. He currently attends St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Colin also studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston majoring in Violin Performance. Colin Greenlaw was born in Meaford, Ontario but has also lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, Regina, Saskatchewan, Oshawa, Ontario and he presently resides in Antigonish, Nova Scotia where he has lived most of his life. Colin has studied with many violin teachers of varying styles and performed with musicians of a wide range of styles. He also gives violin lessons and plays violin on other people's CD's when he is not composing.
