About Me

This is the official MySpace of page of LoveHKFilm.com, a website covering the rise and fall of Hong Kong Cinema from the mid-eighties to current times -- which are actually pretty bleak. Still, we'll try to keep up, even if it means we have to watch movies as trying as Kung Fu Mahjong 3. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. The question is: why us?
ABOUT LOVEHKFILM.COM's MYSPACE
This MySpace was created in October 2006 by Ross, a reader and friend of LoveHKFilm.com's Webmaster, Kozo, who coincidentally also shares the name Ross. As if that were not confusing enough, they both run this MySpace, though there may be others one day. If you'd like to contact the Webmaster of LoveHKFilm.com directly, just address your message to Kozo. Or, you can visit the site and email him there. Ironically, you may actually have a better chance of contacting him here because his MySpace mailbox doesn't have 400 spam email messages per day.
Currently, LoveHKFilm.com's MySpace Blog will be used to archive the News, Notes and Nonsense content from the LoveHKFilm.com homepage, content which once upon a time was discarded every two weeks when new stuff got posted. Not too long ago, someone asked why we never archived our home page content. The response was, "Why? It's just junk." Anyway, if our Transformers toy collection has taught us anything, even junk has value. So we're archiving it here.
ABOUT LOVEHKFILM.COM
LoveHKFilm.com was created in March 2002 with the sole purpose of taking up web space with yet another Hong Kong Cinema web site. The site attempts to review the vast majority of the movies currently coming out of Hong Kong, which is actually easier than it used to be, considering how few movies actually get made in Hong Kong nowadays. As the name of the site might indicate, this site has a decidedly informal slant. We plan to mix critical analysis with an obvious wink towards Hong Kong's unique media-driven culture.
