About Me

writing - dancing - moving - being - chaotic - me

My Interests

working in my garden with the sun glaring down from above, teaching, learning to use technology in my classroom, pursuing lofty goals, writing when I feel compelled to put fingers to keyboard, yoga, belly dancing, and painting to relieve stress and find focus, spending time with family and friends, and whatever new hobby fancies my interest for the week.

I'd like to meet:

people who want to get out and do things and can deal with someone who, at times, can be a bit neurotic. Someone who is honest with themself and others.

Music:

Ben Harper, Death Cab for Cutie, tori amos, Modest Mouse, Tracy Chapman, The Shins, Catpower, The Postal Service, Grandaddy, Jack Johnson, Lilly Allen, etc, etc,

Movies:

Sunshine State, Welcome to Dollhouse, Motorcycle Diaries, Lost in Translation, Love Actually, Little Miss Sunshine

Television:

Don't have cable, but find myself renting tv shows from netflix ----Alias, Grey's Anatomy, Six Feet Under, Weeds...

Books:

you get authors instead: atwood, kafka, fielding, kingsolver, murakami, dostoevski, rilke, eugenides, barthes, kozol, joyce, faulkner, allende --- and a few chick novels when they suite my fancy.

Heroes:

mother, father, sister, brother, friend, confidant - you......people who know who they are (sometimes).
