Dwippy is the Joe camel of the ice-cream world. Making his début in a 1954 television commercial, He quickly won the hearts of children everywhere with his catch phrase "you gonna eat or wot?!" His popularity grew throughout the 60's and he became a celebrity icon of the Dwippy Ice Cream Company.By 1980 Dwippy could no longer deny accusations that he was in fact ice confectionary and not ice cream, which had been exposed by the New York Times five years earlier. It was revealed that Dwippy Incorporated were hiding the fact that they were aware Dwippy ice confectionary with its high amount of additives could caused heritable genetic damage, spontaneous abortion, and diarrhea, yet they continued to make and market the product.Zinc Chloride was removed from the ice confectionaries ingredients and Dwippy was replace as the company icon, with a hipper younger ice cream with sun glasses and new catch phrase: "I'm cool!". Children saw through the obvious groveling style marketing campaign and most preferred the taste of Zinc Chloride anyway.Dwippy is now a puddle of his former self, living out his days being kept alive by refrigeration machine.
