disfunktional

disfunktional is the name of the project I've been working on for the past years. Basically it's all about different perspectives concerning the use of a bass guitar. What I do can simply be put under the experimental tag, even though there are bits of melodic playing included, with deep roots in the 70's funk. The music that results out of this amalgam is meant to oscillate between fast and technical slap bass playing and supposedly chaotic tapping, melodic harmonies and disturbing effects, and so on and so forth.Everything mentioned above is obtained by using my fingers, my imagination, a bass guitar (my pick between my Ibanez RD 500 and Yamaha Chevy) and a guitar processor. Other bass/guitar effects are not out of the question though, as after all, they can serve the same role as the Boss processor mentioned above.
