I am a married, mother of 2. I have lived in the Columbus area my whole entire life. I have been married ever since I was in Highschool (literally...married 6/6/92 and I was class of '93...and yes I am still married to the greatest man ever!). Our son was born was born with a cleft lip and now struggles with ADHD and dislexia. We are currently trying to find out if these are just symtoms of Aspergers Syndrome (a form of autism). He does excellent in school to spite his learning disabilities. My pregnancy with out daughter was very difficult and we are very lucky to have her :o). She also does excellent in school and is advanced in math and reading. My family is my world!!!Update on me: I am currently battling Graves' Disease. I was officially diagnosed 2/6/07, even though I could have had this for many years undiagnosed. I blamed every symptom on something else and never went to the doctor about it. The week before Christmas '06. I believed I had bronchitis and went to urgent care for it. I was right about that but the doctor also found a heart murmur and that my thyroid was enlarged. Quite large in fact! I can't believe I never noticed! I had one RAI treatment in Febuary. Then in June we found that my thyroid was regenerating and I am going though it all again! So that's my update... Just working, raising kids and being too tired to do either but I somehow manage. Any free time that is not spent on them (and not going to the doctors or sleeping...lol) is spent trying to find out everything I can about this disease. I have been writing about it in my blog, if you want to take a peek :o). Well that's currently my crazy life.....Another update!
I had another radioactive iodine (RAI) treatment on 8/03/07. It made me develop hypothyroidism and had to be placed on synthroid pills. But now I am having symtoms of both hyper and hypo thyroidism. My endo is trying to figure it out right now. If this second treatment doesn't work I will have to have surgery to have my thyroid removed. It is a very risky surgery and I am praying it doesn't come to that.Keep up with my blog to find out more, I will be posting more very soon.HOT Myspace Layouts
