Layout by CoolChaserMy name is Glenn Hallam and I have been playing the drums since the early age of five. I am currently involved in many musical projects including band workshops, teaching drums and running summer courses for beginners. I work full time as an educator of drums with Intersales Music of Kettering. I teach in local schools and colleges and run regular workshops on how to look after drums.Since an early age I have always been drawn to the incredible drive of the drum kit. With my father leaving albums around the house with greats like Jack Parnell, Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa (Sing Sing Sing) I guess I was always going to land up playing drums somehow. Bill Haley and the Comets then took me to the next level, feeding my world with the most additive beat I’d ever heard. Maybe that’s why I landing up playing mostly Rock& Roll music with the band Wild.Wild have enjoyed many years of success playing Rock & Roll their own way. I am very lucky to be playing with such talented guys as Paul Gallacher (Guitar) and Hugh Robertson Payne (Double Bass). Not only entertaining people in the UK, but I have been lucky enough to play throughout Europe and America. As well as working with Wild I have a few more side projects on the go, including working for Mario Bradley. I played on Mario’s second album Rhythm Junction and am now currently recording the third.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: glennhallam.co.uk
Band Members: Paul Gallacher (Vocals and Guitar) Hugh Robertson Payne (Slap bass and Vocals) and Glenn Hallam (Drums and Vocals).
Also Drummer for Mario Bradley.
Influences: I'm a mad Dream Theater fan with albums like Octavarium, Six Dedrees of Inner turbulance and Systematic Chaos being played regular on my ipod. I'm also a huge RUSH fan, but then who isn't? Rush seem to find the comfortable zone of prog rock. It's like trying to speak to someone in a different langauge, then you're passed a phrase book, it suddenly makes sense!!I also listen to anything from Brian Setzer, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Guns 'n' Roses, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and one of the best rock bands ever, Led Zeppelin. I'm a huge fan of the Beatles and a great believer that Ringo should be considered as one of the best prog drummers ever. There are so many drummers I aspire to and far too many to mention. Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Jo Jo Mayer, Ian Paice, Chad Smith, Bernie Dresel, John Bonham and obviously Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart. The best sounding drummer ever is John Bonham, the best drummer ever......?Without Question, BUDDY RICH.All my other influcences come from every student that has had a lesson with me. Thank you for the inspiration!
