Luke Calvin Lucostic (born April 18, 1985), better known by his stage name “YDâ€, is one of the most well-known Hip-Hop artists in Southwestern, Pa. He continues to dominate with his intelligent and creative, yet clever lyrics found in his music. Many would say that he is an artist with a lot of Old School flare. His musical influences range from Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nas, Mase and Common just to name a few. With consistent nominations from the past few years Pittsburgh Hip-Hop Awards along with performances with artists such as Freeway, Styles P, Cassidy, Ryan Leslie, Wale, Dem Franchise Boyz, Peedi Crakk and many others, YD has opened the eyes of his competitors showing that he is an artist to listen out for.
YD and his group Ill County/Moola Gang has also been featured in several publications including Jenesis Magazine, Ozone Magazine, The Tribune Review, The Brownsville Telegraph, and other local area newspapers.
