Wadup I'm D dot B a.k.a. DogBite, one of 89 music premiere artist. Most of the guys call me D.B or D dot & nobody calls me Twan!, But you can call me Dundadah if you like (They'll catch on to it soon!). I first start takin' things seriously when I started rappin wit Verbally Diseased an independent label/management/rap click that was started by P.D(Sire Sinsai Da Killa Sin), Ray (Rabiez) and Khalif (Rico G) after the Profile deal but that's another story. I had been doing my thing before but was pretty much for fun not really moving my shit!, but I was about 13 so what u expect my peeps didnt believe in it so really I didn't have any avenues then, but anyway I started a group wit two other guys Rug (now wit da Block Boyzz of 89 music) and OvaDose (now going crazy somewhere in Chicago)and we took on Verbally Diseased Mngt. (Rico G)after some success wit it but not much we got older and our styles grew in other directions and we split and I became solo due to that and the fact that I was in school travelin' back and forth from JSU. Even though our group spreaded new wings Verbally Diseased was pretty much in tact and I was well a part of the movement but later due to some issues V.D disbanded, but I didnt want to stop I wanted it too much! So 89 music was birthed it took a minute to get things running and get a team assemble and get everybody on the same page combine agendas in order for things to work well but we here now, Peace out to Co-Still for listening to me and ridin wit most of my ideas though I'm sure he thought he had other solutions and Rico even though his agenda isn't where I'd perfer!, his presence has been well appreciated. Also to Reo even though he an Asshole, He help me get started with this 89 shit when everyone you see now was in disarry after P.D's Death. And to all that "We gon make it!", even though we're already here, with all the hard work though even though I feel I could've done so much more, but I had help from everyone around me (We all assisted in buildin' da Block), it would have been so easy to quit. As for me I'm pretty simple I pretty much like to go other places with my material than other artists on the label production and lyric wise but we all are actually from 89th(da Block) so we share lingo and swagger,and just are whole being,(We learn & grow off each other) the H-O-O-D gave us that! but I tend to do me when I have the chance I rep my city hard and you'll neva catch me in nothin else but a Cubs hat, thats my shit their at the low of NL now but you gotta stick wit the team they'll get straight! I'm pretty versatile I can get sick to any production I aint set in my ways, and have neva been scared of what people think! neva walked away from a challenge! People always ask me DogBite where'd dat come from I had a million names through my time but out of them all I was alwayz known as Dogbite on the street so since I couldnt escape it I took it on. One of the Bros. gave me that name when I was 15 Kieth (FOX mo) and it just grew from there I'll tell yawl the story one day. Its probably mo' I could tell you but you're gonna have fuck wit me to find out so throw you C's Up And rep da Block wit an 89 shirt or somethin'. Have you ever heard of 89 music check this out! 89 music is a inde based in Chicago founded in 2004 by A. Watson & C. Hunter. Eight Nine is a second generation of the hip hop click Verbally Diseased that held a major Hip Hop influence on the southside and Chicago as a whole. In 1996 V.D. took intiative to rise above crew level and became a independent record label, Verbally Diseased Records. By 2000 without the aide of a major Verbally had released four records that selling elapsed the estimated totals by an 87 percintile, during that time their artists clogged the show market for other underground artist by opening for nearly every major act in their region during their span. In 2001 V.D. records took major turn right before the drop of their final release (Operation Contamination ft. Da Block Burnaz) and the company began to split in the mist of business disputes, leadership issues, artist, management and other outside dilemmas. Soon they divided which in turn haulted its growth and ultimately vanished except in hearts of few. Ironically the few left(Da Block Ni....as from 89th) were those with who would have been expected to have no hearts at all for the decisions made & would leave out in their own directions. But confronted with options like drugs, jail, gang wars and more funerals they decided to keep the torch burning rather than living with false hope of the streets. Now 89 has took the term "Rep da Block" to a whole new level, lacing the streetz with hottest tracks and banging Street anthems. Eight Nine Music is on its way to controlling the Midwest market and ultimately "the market" itself (high hopes huh!), but for now if you're from the CHI throw your C's up! and if your from anywhere else Phoenix, Jersey, Cali, ATL, wherever scream out EIGHT NINE!!! till somebody screams it back! - Sir Eightnineneth Cunningham REP DA BLOCK!!!!
