Rozzi

About Me

Rozzi's commanding vocal sophistication goes beyond her tender 16 years. Her voice is a fusion of sensual, smoky, and dramatic. As if she were born on stage, this young lady commands attention during a performance, fusing herself with the music and enticing the listener to come share her world. Though Rozzi doesn't come from a musical family, her mother began taking her to music classes at a young age. From first grade on she performed in every school talent show or music function she could find. She has performed in musical theater groups, practiced ballet for ten years ( San Francisco Ballet School ), performed as a actress and vocalist in productions at the American Conservatory Theatre (ACT) in San Francisco , and has taken voice, piano and guitar lessons regularly. Summer 2006 she was a stand-out performer at the Seth Riggs Vocal Camp in Los Angeles. Exposed to gospel music in high school, she discovered and fell in love with jazz, blues and soul music. Currently she is in both a soul and a world music band at school. Influenced by artists like Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone, and Billie Holiday, Rozzi has begun recording her first demo. She continues to strengthen her live performance skills while polishing her acting and musicianship skills as well. Her passion for a career in music drives her. Rozzi is enchanting, whether in her powerful top register or her sultry low register. Her dramatic and evocative sound is music to the ears and a window to the soul.
