Montana Coffeehouse has served the North Loop Warehouse District for 10 years. The Montana was opened in 1996 by Johnny Hazlett, bass player for Slim Dunlap. Johnny and Molly had a vision of serving coffee and providing a place for musicians to gather and play. At that time the North Loop was home to struggling artists..many who have since left the area as new condo developments began. In 2003, Rob and Lisa Whitney bought Montana. Montana has since expanded it's space. Although the neighborhood has seen many changes, Montana is still home to creative types, artists, musicians, architects, and writers. In April of this year the coffee house was purchased by Scott and Amber Woller. The coffee house is currently under renovations and will be changing its name to Corner Coffee in July of this year.
